Topic: Gandhara

Students were able to: 

• Identify Gandhara as an ancient kingdom in Pakistan
• Explain that different groups of people ruled Gandhara at different times and that they brought different religions: the three main ones were Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam
• Explain how settlements grew in certain places like Taxila flourished where important ancient trade routes met.

Procedure: 

Students made posters for display and prepared the presentation on same. They learned about an ancient civilization and their art, culture and religion. (All lessons were islamically integrated with strict eye on concept of monotheism)

The students were provided with a platform to display their projects and speak about these to the wider audience. They enjoyed this creative work immensely,
