Reading develops stronger command in all subjects and cuts across the curricula. Children who are good readers are most likely to achieve higher scores across curriculum.

As the saying goes:
Readers are Leaders

At Hfs, we are trying to give students a chance to shine. The only way to keep them motivated is to involve them and let them to adopt an active role in the class.

Hence, the students were provided with an opportunity in the DEAR time by the teacher to explain the stories in their own way within a classroom setting.

They learned to think actively about what was happening in the text while reading it. This helped improve their comprehension and speaking skills too.

This activity certainly went a long way in equipping them with the necessary tools to deepen their understanding in context with a touch of originality!
