Grade: V

Objective:

Students will recognize and measure the volume of solid figures by counting unit cubes.

Strategy:

The students determined how many cubes were used in a simple, solid rectangular and square construction.

They illustrated two constructions and wrote how they estimated the number of cubes in each and compared the volumes of the two constructions.

They used formula for measuring volume after that they had constructed a model of cubes and cuboids for further clarification of 3D shapes.

Response:

Students were able to measure volume by formula and counting cubes. This hands ? on activity cleared their concepts alhamdulilah!
