Assalamualaikum
Dear Parents & Students,
There is no greater priority than the health and safety of our students, parents and staff members.
Following the latest decision of the Government of Sindh Hira Foundation School will remain closed till 31st May 2020. However, if any changes are made then these will be intimated likewise.
The period between now till May 31st 2020 is to be considered as “summer break” and school will resume teaching and learning activities from 1st June 2020 inshallah. The months of June and July will be a continuation of the current academic year and we will resume where we left off in March. June will be considered as April and July as May. The assessment/examination period will be in July. After this, the school will be off for Eid-ul-Azha and the new academic year will then commence as per schedule in August.
Time to time we have been posting homework documents on Hfs website under download worksheets section from Preschool till Grade V with intimation via sms. Kindly view: http://hirafoundation.com/worksheets/.
From Grade VI onwards we have been successfully conducting regular online classes for our students. These distance learning classes and examination support for the appearing batches will continue for the foreseeable future until we have further clarity on CAIE exams. We are also in contact with the Cambridge representatives who are aware of the situation in Sindh and will notify us of their decision.
On a final note about the COVID-19 global pandemic, we believe that it is our responsibility as an educational institution to educate, spread knowledge and create awareness as the world enters uncharted territory. While the current circumstances may be disruptive and inconvenient to many, we believe that these are in the best interest of our nation. Fortunately, it is still early days for our country, and we all have the opportunity to make a difference and prevent exponential spread in our country.
Therefore, we encourage all members of our community to make a conscious effort to change their behavior today. Besides practicing good hygiene, we must actively promote social distancing. Please reconsider attending large gatherings and public spaces as social distancing is the best way to prevent community spread. Our actions today can buy our family, our neighbors, our community, our medical system and our nation some essential time that can delay the spread of the virus.
If we all do our part now by making slight modifications to our behavior and actions, we will be able to return to normalcy sooner. Let’s all pray and play our part in fostering a healthier and safer tomorrow.
May Allah swt keep us all in His safety and eradicate this global pandemic.
Aameen Wassalam,
